New Logo, New Look
Since 1998 Eastern Shores has used a crest logo to signify the organization; however, after 24 years a new logo has been developed which creatively illustrates our territory, cultures and purpose. The logo, which is built with three curved lines with different shades of blue, evokes the river or the sea, present in the different territories of our organization. The three waves are representative of 1) the three cultures that are present in our schools and centres; anglophone, francophone and first nations 2) the three levels of instruction in our schools and centres; elementary, secondary, and adult education and 3) the three administrative regions of our territory; Bas-St-Laurent, Gaspe-Iles-de-la-Madeleine, and Cote-Nord. The bird refers to the notion of going further, higher. It can also be interpreted as an open book or a whale’s tail.
In addition to the new logo our new look extends to our website redesign. Our intent is to create a place where information is easily accessible, and the overall usability is improved for all. This website will be used to share information and announcements. Our career tab makes applying to interesting positions easier and faster. An alert banner, located at the top of the page, will appear in red if there are school closures, yellow for the registration period and orange for current messages. News and events will appear on the front page and information about the school board or schools and centers can be found in the tabs along the top. We do hope that this transition is seamless and makes finding information much easier for you, our valued reader.
Thank you for visiting our website and happy browsing!
